Regional Hospital
Serves a ten county area with a staff of 483. It has 24 hour physician
coverage in their emergency room. For surgery, there are eleven operating rooms
including a neurosurgery unit and a 3-room Endocopy unit. There are 16
intensive care and 8 coronary beds. The hospital has a Cancer Center, Dialysis
Center, Rehabilitation Center and Wellness Center, as well as programs for
alzheimers, diabetes, cardiac care, mental health services, hearing aid services
and many others.
Shelbyville's Major Hospital
Accredited institution with a 14 year old, all single room facility. The
medical staff averages 45 years old and is composed of 27 physicians and 42
consulting specialists.
Greensburg's Decatur Memorial Hospital
Boasts quality care with the best technology, treatments, and programs
available. There are 115 beds. The hospital also has a new addition which
houses Radiology, Emergency Room, Physical and Occupational Therapy, and Surgery.
The Oncology Department at Decatur allows patients to receive chemotherapy close
to home. Cardiac Rehabilitation is a new service now offered to patients with
heart disease
Hope, Indiana has a Dentist, Dr. John Harker, DDS; and a Chiropractic Clinic,
with Dr. Greg Sweet in charge. We are also in negotiations with Columbus Regional
Hospital for the placement of a general practitioner in the Town of Hope.
